Come Explore Your Grant County Trails

The Grant County Trails Group and the Grant County Fitness and Nutrition – Community Group encourages everyone in Grant County to explore three more local trails over the next three months. Members of these groups will meet with participants on one local trail, each second Sunday of the month, from 1:00 to 2:30p.m. Please be prepared with sturdy hiking shoes, long sleeve shirts, sunglasses, sunscreen and water.

Hiking Dates For your calendar:

·March 8th, Dragonfly trail, three miles round trip, 1:00 to 2:30p.m., Look for the Dragonfly Trailhead sign on US 180 about 1.5 miles west of the Fort Bayard turnoff. Take Arenas Valley Road northward 1 mile to the parking area at the sharp curve.

·April 12th, Gomez Peak Angel Loop Trail, 1.7 miles, 1:00 to 2:30p.m., Travel approximately four miles north on Little Walnut Road. Meet in the trailhead parking lot on the west side of the road.

·May 10th, Little Walnut Picnic Loop Trail, 2.5 miles, 1:00 to 2:00p.m, the trailhead is located just north of the Little Walnut Picnic area. Meet in the parking area near the trailhead.
