Silver City, NM- The international business honors society, Delta Mu Delta is hosting a raffle raising donations on Saturday, October 28th. A portion of the donations acquired are meant for non-profit organizations in Silver City and Lordsburg. Delta Mu Delta President, Jonah Barrera explained the motive and idea behind the raffle.
“The raffle helps Delta continue doing more stuff like this, it is a way for us to donate back to Silver City,” Barrera explained.
Delta Mu Delta is known for giving back to the community and has donated to several non-profit organizations in the past, such as SASS, The Gospel Mission, El Refugio, Gila Regional Medical Center, and in support of men’s health and breast cancer awareness. Proceeds of this raffle are going toward the Police Athletic League in Lordsburg (PAL), which focuses on providing kids with sports and other extracuricular activities.
The winners of the raffle will be announced during this weekends Lady Mustang Volleyball game during halftime.
