Students Line Up for Hair Cutting Event

Silver City, NM – Multiple WNMU Students lined up Friday night, February 27, at Mustang Village to get their hair done, whether it was getting a trim, or a complete new makeover. As students were waiting there were snacks and drinks to enjoy in the “waiting room”.

Vanessa Isela, Coordinator of Multicultural Events and Student Activities said “This is a great way to get students together and it’s also fun seeing everyone enjoy themselves. Haircuts can be very expensive now a days and this was a good opportunity for students to get a free haircut.”

Although there was some small issues arise with the hair dresser students were also able to get their hair braided and styled as well at the event. Isela, also stated that there might be a makeover event in the future, where students can get their hair, makeup, and even nails done.
