WNMU Christian Challenge Offers Great Things For Students

wnmu cc buildingSilver City, NM- The WNMU Christian Challenge is a club that you probably haven’t heard much about.  The Challenge has a number of weekly activities that students can engage in, including Weekly Bible Studies on Wednesday Nights starting at 8:30 as well as a High-Noon lunch, which is all you can eat for either $2 or a donation.

“We exist to lead students in studying the Christian faith,” Director Steve Timmons said. “This includes developing leaders, cultural study, meeting needs, and developing lifelong friends.”

The WNMU Christian Challenge also offers students free WI-FI, as well a good space for studying or simply hanging out. They also offer opportunities for students to attend leadership retreats, and each summer, it has students that participate in summer, projects, which recently took place in Denver, and Santa Fe.

Jeffery Arrington, a student who frequents the Challenge, said, “For me the challenge is more than just a building. After the last three semesters, the Challenge is, for me, a group of friends that I would even call a family. I would encourage everyone to come and check out what we are about.”

The Challenge is open to all students of Western New Mexico University, and is located on 909 College St. across from Bowden hall.
