The University Foundation and students from Public Speaking Communications course are participating in the annual Giving Tuesday event, hoping to raise funds for good causes.
Students of Dr. Benji Cline’s communications course are partnering with Guadalupe Montessori School to raise awareness and to receive more donations for the Silver City-based school. They will have a booth at the Student Life Lounge in the PE Complex to inform students about Giving Tuesday and to collect donations.
Michael Dirmeyer, WNMU student in the public speaking class said, “The event is important to me because I want to see the Montessori School continue to provide an education for young children that focuses on their own unique development. I have a younger brother who goes to the school and I want to see him and other children continue to have the excellent opportunities provided by the school.”
