Western New Mexico University Students Newspaper
There is an important need for the representation of women’s stories at Western. Although women’s stories should and will be told year round in The Mustang, this section was inspired by Women’s History Month and The Center for Gender Equity and Social Justice’s F-Week events focused on feminism and women’s empowerment. The Mustang presents these spotlights on prominent women from around campus with the purpose of representing more stories from marginalized groups such as women.
