NORMAN, Okla. – With three results in the top-three to begin the spring campaign, the Western New Mexico University men’s golf team has re-entered the Bushnell Golfweek Division II Poll at No. 23 in the new poll that was released Friday.
The Mustangs had been receiving votes in the previous poll and following a victory at the Cactus Thaw, second place at the Bruce Williams Invitational and then a third at St. Edward’s Invitational was strong enough to vault WNMU back into the top-25, a spot they were accustom to throughout last season’s run to the NCAA Championships.
WNMU is also on the cusp of breaking back into the top-25 of the Golfstat rankings entering at No. 26 this week. Individually, Golfstat has Calum Hill (Kinross, Scotland/Kinross HS) ranked 14th, Thomas Neve (Epsom, England/Cams Hill School/Merrist College) comes in 69th and Harry Wetton (Bedford, England/The Bedford School) is slotted 86th
