On February 14, the Silver City Care Center hosted a valentine’s day dance for their senior citizens that was made possible by the collaboration with the WNMU Mustang Care Club. Local middle school students also attended the event.
The residents enjoyed the company of the students, fun dances, and snacks. The purpose of the event was to pass on a festive day to the residents of the Silver City Care Center and gift them a great time. Middle school students took part in the dance by bringing their own elaborate dances to the floor and in which Mustang Care members took part, and a fun music playlist. With the help of the middle school students, Mustang Care members, and the nurses at the Silver City Care Center, the event was a success.
Any WNMU student can participate in Mustang Cre events. WNMU partners with the Silver City Care Center on the third Friday of each month for arts and crafts. To learn more about Mustangs Care visit
