Hello Mustangs!
On behalf of the Associated Students of Western New Mexico University (Student Government), I would like to welcome you to another great semester at Western New Mexico University. I hope that all of you had awesome and relaxing holiday break and are now prepared for the new year and another semester full of new opportunities and challenges here at WNMU.
Our main goal as your Student Government is to serve and represent you, the student body. We need and depend on student involvement in order to operate successfully. Without you, the students, attending our meetings, accomplishing our main goal becomes really hard. That is why I encourage you to attend our meetings and to be involved on everything that is going on in our university.
The public meeting time for student government has changed this semester! We will now be meeting in the Miller Library every other Tuesday at 7:00 pm. So whether you are looking for a place to express your ideas and concerns, or an opportunity to aid serve and better the student body, or perhaps just have an open Tuesday evening, we would love to see you at our meetings! If you can’t make it to the meeting, a live stream of the meetings can be found at this link: https://wnmu.zoom.us/j/450942407. You can also go to our website at aswnmu.wnmu.edu and look for information about clubs, financial reports, meeting minutes and much more.
As always, feel free to stop by our offices. They are located on the third floor of the Student Memorial Center. Drop by anytime and meet your student leaders!
