Silver City, NM- Breanna Aker, Senator representing the School of Business, has run uncontested for the position of ASWNMU Secretary and unless some unforeseen occurance happens, will be serving in the position this coming fall. Bre’s position will have her keeping the Executive Council of the Associated Students of Western New Mexico University running both organized and efficiently.
Her duties will require her to keep organized records and accounts of all student government Executive Council business. She will also function as a go between for Student Senate and the Executive Council.
Bre says she plans to stay organized, keep an open line of communication, and continue to find ways to improve student government.
“I’m glad that I’m moving up because I know that I want to make a difference,” Bre said. “I want to be able to influence others to be the best that they can be.”
Student Government elections will be help on April 13. Students can vote using their Mustang Express. The Mustang recently did a full story on Bre, which can be found here.
