Freshman Looking For Donations to Help Homeless Population

Silver City, NM – On April 4th, Nadia Justiniano will be donating supplies to the homeless for the Gospel Mission. Justiniano is not only asking for donations, but for students to come help and give support to the homeless at 12 p.m.

Supplies include food, blankets, clothes and medicines. Even with supplies already at hand and a few friends to help, Justiniano would like as much help as possible.

Even though Justiniano and the Gospel Mission have a partnership, this project is for her Social Work class.

Born in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, Justiniano contributes around her community, especially with the homeless. “Here [Silver City], I want to make a change because I realize that there is a lot of homeless people,” said Justiniano. Why students should help is because “when you help others, you get to be benefited.”

Justiniano is a freshman and came to WNMU because of a tennis scholarship. Currently undecided for her major, she is leaning towards Zoology and animal science.

The Gospel Mission is located at 111 S Texas St. For more information, contact Justiniano at nadiajustiniano99@hotmail.es
