Silver City, NM- Mustang Entertainment welcomes all students to join in an eventful, fun-filled week of fun Great Race 51.
The week will launch with a Kick-Off Dance Party on Sunday, April 15th at 10:30 pm in Graham Gym. Students are invited to come get their moves on and set the pace for a great Great Race!
Monday will be an eventful day with 6 on 6 men’s volleyball starting at 3 pm at Old James Stadium. Following that at 6pm, students will participate in 5 fearful and fun-packed Fear Factor games.
Tuesday will have the historic King of the Mountain race at 3 pm, on Cardiac hill. Participants will compete to see who is the fastest to push the cart up the infamously steep hill. Two hours later, the Spartan Race will start at 5 pm, testing physical ability with many different obstacles.
On Wednesday, students are welcome to enjoy a free lunch at the Christian Challenge starting at noon. At 6pm we have our famous Powder Puff 7 on 7 female flag football game. Make sure to be there to cheer on your teams!
Thursday will feature the “Who’s Got the Speed?” test at 3 pm, which will gauge who has the fastest participants happening on West St. Later that night, students can determine which team has the best talent at the annual Great Race Talent Show at 7 pm at the Fine Arts Center.
On Friday, students can leave their mark at WNMU by making a book tile for a new mural at 12pm in the life lounge. Finally, students can swim, race, and enjoy food at a Pool Party on April 20th.
Finally, there’s GREAT RACE DAY, the most-anticipated day of the whole week. The Mustang Festival will feature food, music, and games from 12-3pm. The big race will start at 2pm with a whole new route!
