Parral, Chihuahua, MX- Isaac Brundage, Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, recently traveled to Mexico in order to be the keynote speaker for the Universidad Tecnologica de Parral (UTP) in Parral, Mexico. His presentation was on leadership: how finding your purpose as a leader affects how you are able to work with different groups of people.
“I have realized that it is very important to build relationships with other cultures,” said Brundage. The language was a small barrier, but most men and women at the address were bilingual. Brundage himself is working towards being bilingual and says although the keynote and questions were in English, all parties really understood the meaning of the address. Brundage went so far as to use himself as an example stating “my past has defined both my future and my purpose.”
When asked if this was his visit to the country, Brundage said it wasn’t his first time in Mexico, but it was his first time in Parral. He says that he is excited for any opportunity to return, stating that the school, culture, and food were all very excellent. Both WNMU and UTP look forward to future collaborations, and even some possible student exchanges.
